El investigador Angus J Huck propone esta relación entre los sonidos ibéricos y euskéricos:

“Basque” refers to the modern language of Basque spoken in the seven provinces of Euskal Herria from the earliest substantial texts of the 16th century to the present day.

“Iberian” refers to the apparently seamless continuum of closely related dialects that were spoken throughout the Iberian peninsula and south-western parts of France immediately prior to Romanisation, which probably started at the beginning of the 1st century BC. The dialects referred to by Vascologists as “Pre-Basque” and “Aquitainian” are “Iberian” under this definition.
